Pedagogy and Classroom practices at St. Xavier’s Group of Schools

Pedagogy and classroom practices at St. Xavier’s Group of Schools do not overemphasize memorization of content but rather emphasize the building of knowledge, capacities, values, and dispositions needed for the child's development. The use of a wide and effective range of teaching aids in the classroom and the active involvement of each student make education in our schools child-centric and an enjoyable experience for the children.

St. Xavier’s Group of Schools trains the students in journalism, short filmmaking, advertising, script writing, TV news presentation, production, and digital competence through Ryan TV. Through Atal Tinkering Labs set up under the Atal Innovation Mission, St. Xavier’s Group of Schools fosters curiosity, creativity, and imagination in students; and inculcates skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, and physical computing. Creativity and innovation through the arts, music, drama, poetry, and paintings—are brought about in our schools through a well-structured curriculum.
